We recently combined two of our favorite movie theater treats into one delicious combo, Starburst Candy Popcorn! That’s right, all of the tasty goodness of Starburst drizzled over crunch popcorn. YUM!!
Everyone loves popcorn, right? It is the universal snack! Movie theater popcorn is absolutely heavenly…especially with extra butter! And who doesn’t remember the jello flavored popcorn balls from when we were all kids. They were color coordinated with every holiday- Red and green for Christmas, orange for Halloween, and pink for Valentine’s day.
Popcorn really goes with any flavor. That is the beauty of this fluffy, white snack! Caramel, marshmallow, cheddar, chocolate, cinnamon, and even jalapeno! The list goes on and on. Well here is another flavor to try, Starburst Candy Popcorn. It tastes completely wonderful, and the rainbow colors add a bit of pop to whatever party you’re hosting.

Starburst Candy Popcorn would work great for a party. It could be ready to serve from the get go or the kids could have fun making it together. Making Starburst Candy Popcorn could even be the main activity of the party!
If there isn’t a party on the horizon, this Starburst Candy Popcorn would also be great for just a quiet fun night at home with the kids. It sounds like the perfect family night in…popcorn and games.
Starburst Candy Popcorn
Give this fun snack a try. It will be a guaranteed favorite with all the kids!
For each color of popcorn you will need:
- 21 starburst candies, unwrapped
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 6 cups popped popcorn
You need 21 starburst for each color. Two bags should be have plenty of each color, but if you only want to purchase one bag, then the option here, is to just reduce the popcorn and the corn syrup and butter for the flavor with the smaller amount of starburst.
Directions:
Line 2 baking sheets with parchment or wax paper and set aside.
Place popcorn into a mixing bowl.
Place candies, butter and corn syrup into a small sauce pan.

Heat on low heat, stirring constantly, until completely melted.

Pour over popcorn and mix well to coat evenly.

Spread onto prepared baking sheet and set aside to harden/set up.

Repeat for the remaining 3 colors.

Once popcorn is set, pull apart the different flavors and colors and mix them up before serving.

Now just enjoy and look out for all the sticky hands!
