Patriotic French Toast For Kids

2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
8 slices of bread
fresh strawberries, washed and stems removed
fresh blueberries, washed
bamboo skewers
star shaped cookie cutter
Directions:

Heat for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Remove from heat.
Carefully using a star cookie cutter, cut each piece of french toast into a star shape. (Go ahead and enjoy the leftover pieces of bread. They are a perfect snack to hold you over until the skewers are ready!)
Thread star onto a skewer with strawberries and blueberries.
Sprinkle powdered sugar on the stars.
Serve with maple syrup, jam, or honey. Enjoy!
Aren’t those fun? They’re fairly healthy as well, and you can feel good about having your kids fill up on delicious berries before they head out to collect candy at the parades.
These Patriotic French toast skewers are fun for kids to make and delicious to eat! The smiles are sure to appear after a breakfast like this. Just the right start to a fun holiday!
Happy Celebrating!
